“End Time Delusions”
October 19th, 2010The book by Steve Wohlberg “End Time Delusions” is not a bad attack on the supporters of Israel. I am very glad though that Mr Wohlberg came out with his book before I did with mine. I site many of his comments in the book and very successfully refute his points scripturally. Perhaps if Mr Wohlberg reads the book “Israel: Are They Still God’s People” he may take a different view than the one he has now.
When Mr Wohlberg tries to bring out a point he to seems to be thorough in examining minute details but he is also very good at omitting scriptures that are vital to the subject. For example Wohlberg makes note in his book “End Time Delusions” that Israel was divorced by God citing from Matthews Gospel chapter 23 verses 37&38. Verse 38 happens to be Mr.Wohlbergs point ‘…See! your house is left unto you desolate…’. The word desolate does not mean divorce, Jesus was never afraid to use the word divorce. But more importantly is why didn’t Mr. Wohlberg quote verse 39? which states ‘…for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!.”…’ The most critical part of the verses is ‘…till you say…’ in other words the untilyou say, is a time that will come that Israel, the ones who rejected Jesus, their descendants will say “blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD” Its not a divorce but it was a separation from God.
To examine the facts of Israel’s place in God’s end time plans lets consider the prophecies of Micah 5:2-4
2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
Let’s take it step by step in verse 2 we have Jesus Christ spoken of ‘… yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel…’ The prophecy of our Lord Jesus Christ this is certainly reason enough for Jesus to be considered a Bethelite. Verse 3 is very astonishing! I have yet to use this passage in the book but it is a prophecy of Israel going into exile but the most astonishing point in this passage is the fact that we can use the book of revelation to see the time period of its fulfillment ‘…Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel…’ You see I feel Mr. Wohlberg may not be aware of such passages as this. But we definitely have the prophecy in black and white that Jesus will reject his people for a season, but it is vital that you recognize that it is the “remnant” that return. Let’s examine the fulfilling passage out of Revelations12:2 ‘…And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered…’ The passage is in reference to Marry but John is writing this 95 years after the event, why? It has an unusual fulfillment it is a compound fulfillment this is evident as we read the verse in Micah. Micah is speaking of the woman being in travail but Christ is already born for the passage states ‘…Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth…’ So the travailing woman really has nothing to do with the birth of Christ in this sense. Then we get this slight pause and the verse is concluded with ‘… then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel…’ This travailing woman brings forth the future children of Israel. Notice the word ‘…remnant of his brethren…’ the beautiful type we have in the story of Joseph if you recall earlier in the book. Rachel was in great pain when giving birth to Joseph’s brother Benjamin in so much that she died from the bearing of her final soon. Benjamin is a perfect type of the remnant Jews the 144,000 that believe in the end. As we continue on in verse 5 of revelations 12 we have Christ revealed in the woman’s travail. ‘…And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne…’ John gives us the history but what follows in the next verse is a future event for Israel herself. ‘…And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days…’Notice the time line it is exactly the same as the ministry of the two witnesses, three and half years. Also in bold for you the words ‘…that they…’ the ‘…they…’ mentioned is undoubtedly the two witnesses. The woman in travail clearly represents Israel being “born again” The remnant is coming forth and God is protecting her while she gives birth. Look at one more passage to help clarify the point in this, but keep in mind there is a huge number of scriptures that really need to be addressed. Revelation 12:17 ‘…And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ…’ No doubt the remnant of the woman seed still referring to Israel but it’s the 144,000 that have believed Jesus Christ to be there Messiah which is evident by their testimony of Christ and the fact they keep the commandments showing they were still under the law when this time of deliverance comes.

I like this commment about End Time Delusions. I have actually read the book by Steve Wohlberg and was swayed by his arguments. After getting the opertunity to read the book Steven DeNoon I was fully convinced that Israel still has a plan in God’s Word. Mr Wohlberg seems sincere but he is sincerely wrong!

I really hope this becomes a documentary or movie some how. There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed so that the average person can understand as well. I would love to see it in a format that everyone can respond to. Great book

You may find it worth while to consider the comment recently posted entitled “Sevent Weeks of Daniel-Righteousness 2″ Mr. Wohlberg being a strong supporter of replacement theology should find this post hard to handle. It would be a pleasure to meet Mr. Wohlberg some day perhaps I could persuade him to believe all of God’s Word.

As sincere as Steven DeNoon would like to be he needs to continue studying the Scriptures. One major key factor, ask for God’s inspiration, clearly he lacks insight of true meanings. Folks, literal Israel has been lost for thousands of years and now its up to spiritual Israel to continue God’s plans. Sanctuary plans which most literal Jews have choosen to ignore. Lest not forget to ask for guidance!

Only in modern times has this passage been fulfilled the outcast of Israel never returned until modern times but God promised that they would return. When Jesus came to the earth the House of Israel the ten northen tribes were all gone they never got to hear the Gospel but God promised that they would hear. you may also want to consider Ezekiel 36 in depth God speaks of regathering the House of Israel back to the homeland. If God does not do this He will be a Liar and we know He cannot lie that is why he says to Israel in Ezekiel 36
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
It’s more than sincerety it’s God’s promise. he has regathered Israel of course to your own dismay he has done so right before your eyes and you still deny it? Brother God doesnt do things the way we see it but to His own way of doing. These promises were made to natural Israel and must be fulfilled to them. We cannot apply a promise made to them to spiritual Israel God is not the author of confusion.

Galatians 3 We are ALL SONS OF ABRAHAM…(ALL THE TRIBES OF ISRAEL)…and heirs to the promises made to Abraham.
THE PROMISED LAND IS THE NEW JERUSALEM, a city that comes out of heaven…..not a desert city in Palestine..the New Jerusalem is the kingdom promised by the father..to the son…
I would rather see the Jews learn the truth about Christ..the Messiah for all of mankind…and become believers..and live an eternal life…

There again I guess Paul must have forgot the verses you were trying to quote in your article to me. Uhhh Paul asked you not to be ignorant so I suppose you could be ignorant in this case. And what about that fulness of the Gentiles that is to come in? I suppose that is near completion too then you will witness Zechariah’s prophecy yet to be fulfilled.

Perhaps you overlooked the fact that the Jews are not in tribal order mourning for the crucified Christ which could not be fulfilled in any other day untill after 1948. I don’t mean to be so sarcastic but you make a rather bold assertion with your replacement theology redderic that I feel you need to look far deeper into the Word of God. I may come back and add more to this to prove the point but you only need look at the story of Joseph to see that the ones who rejected him were saved with a great salvation. What about Ezekiel 37 what about the ten tribes that never heard the Gospel but God swore He would bring them back to Israel to hear what He has done!
